Koza Gmizavaca je suha i bez zlijezdai nepropustljiva za vodu i gasove.
Gmizavci povremneo mjenjaju svoj kozni pokrov koji puca i to se naziva Presvlacenje.
Oni se krecu tako što gmizu po podlozi.
Gmizavci dišu na pluca.
Plucno disanje je intezivnije nego kod vodozemaca cemu posebno doprinosi Grudni Koš.
Probavni organi gradeni su po slicnom planu kao i vodozemci.

su stanovnici toplih predjela i djele se na zmije i guštere.

su zdepaste zašticene oklopom.

Krokodili
su srodnici dinosaura i predstavljaju jednu od najstariji zivotinja:
Nilski krokodil
aligator kajman

Predstavnik je pilast prenosnic
Pripada pragušterima
