The Twilight cast may be split on how they feel about director Catherine Hardwicke, but as far as she's concerned they're A-OK in her book.
Access Hollywood caught up with Hardwicke—who was replaced behind the camera for the Twilight sequel New Moon by helmsman Chris Weitz—at the Women in Film 2009 Crystal and Lucy Awards, and she noted that she wished nothing but success for her former co-workers.
"I'm so proud of the whole cast; they're all getting to do amazing movies and stuff," Hardwicke gushed. (Uh, is that to imply that they weren't doing amazing movies before?)
Hardwicke had particular praise for Taylor Lautner, who had to buff up substantially just to secure a spot as werewolf Jacob Black in the sequel.
"I think he looks amazing," Hardwicke offered. "He totally worked hard for it, so he looks great."
